The City of Vicksburg has created an alliance with Alcorn State University to entertain, accommodate and host Alcorn’s homecoming football fans. On October 17^th, 2014, the 1000 block of Washington Street will become a certified entertainment zone  from 3:00 pm to 12am and offer the following:  9 hours of music with top notch local entertainment including: Dexter Allen, Compozitionz, Andy Hardwick, Chris Gill and the Soul Shakers and DJ Eddie Williams; Food vendors; Alcohol and non-alcoholic beverages; Local retailers; VIP Tent Opportunities for businesses and organizations with complimentary food, drinks and exclusive Wait Staff; Adult Fun Outdoor Activities.
