The presentation will begin at 2:00 pm at 1 Cowan Place. Two homes were built on this site in 1909 by two brothers, J.B. and P.A. Cowan, who were in the cotton business and one of the wealthiest families in Vicksburg. The larger of the two homes is no longer there, but the home still standing was sold in the 1920s to Doctor Benson Blake Martin, Sr. He gave it to his daughter, Mrs. R.L. Dent (Mary Francis) in 1940 and she and her attorney husband lived there until the 1990s. The Bosts purchased the home in 2012 and have beautifully restored it to its original grandeur. Tapestry 2014: The history of the families that lived in this home will be presented. Tickets for Tapestry are $15 per individual presentation or $30 for three presentations.
