*NAMI BASICS Mental Health Ed. Course for Parents of Children with Emotional/Behavioral Difficulties*

NAMI "BASICS" for Parents - A free six-session mental health education class for Parents of Children & Teens with Emotional and/or Behavioral Difficulties.  This course was developed by mental health care professional Dr. Teri Brister to inform parents about emotional and behavioral disorders, the biology of mental illness, symptoms, treatment, medications, communication methods, problem solving techniques, advocacy for school services, juvenile justice issues, and a variety of other topics.

Classes will be taught from 6 - 8:45 p.m. on Mon. & Thurs. evenings for three weeks beginning Sept. 19, 2016.  Location: Warren-Yazoo Men. Health Admin. Bldg.
