Mosquitoes and the New ZIKA Virus: What Can Mississippians Do to Protect Themselves?
Zika virus, a mosquito-transmitted virus new to the Americas, has recently been in the news because of its devastating effects on unborn children. Due to people returning from travel to Central and South America and the Caribbean this summer, there is a possibility Zika virus may become established in the southern U.S. This talk will explore this new disease threat and provide ways for citizens to protect themselves.
