This presentation will begin at 2:00 pm at 1117 Grove Street. An exquisite example of Eastlake Victorian architecture featuring handcrafted black walnut and American chestnut throughout the entry hallway. The home was designed and paid for by Leona Baer for Lazarus, her husband and their children. Of special interest is the two-story outhouse at the back of the home. Tapestry 2014: Vicksburg: Occupied by the Union 1863-1877: Carpet Baggers! Scalawags! Citizens were prisoners with no escape. Homes were plundered, occupants evicted and evacuated. Food rationed and disbursed. Learn about Vicksburg under military rule. Tickets for Tapestry are $15 per individual presentation or $30 for three presentations.
